30th Church Anniversary

Put this in your diary now. This is for everyone: whether you are a founder member or have only started coming this year, or somewhere in-between; whether you almost live in the church or come along from time to time.

Start

Start is a short 6 week introduction that looks at what it means to be a Christian. It is shorter and more basic than the Alpha Course. Times and dates to be arranged. See our minister, Trevor Woodget, for further details or if interested in joining.

Ladies' Evening

Thursday 2 January, 7.00 pm

Banner making & puddings

We meet the first Thursday of each month for a time of art, craft and friendship. Bring a friend. This is a good chance to encourage one another. We will be starting to make some new banners to hang on the walls in the main hall.

Deacons' Elections

Pray about who you could nominate. Please consider standing yourself.

  • elections for treasurer and one deacon
  • Deadline for nominations: 26 Feb.
  • AGM: 8.00 pm, Tuesday 20 March

Requirements:

  • member for 1 year or more
  • baptised by immersion as a believer
  • meet the legal requirements for being a Charity Trustee

SE4 Re-Union

4 - 5 February

SE4 is the Pathfinder Summer camp, where a group from our church does the catering. They will also be leading our All Age Service on the Sunday.

Women in Leadership

Southern Counties Baptist Association

Series of 6 sessions offering a journey that promises to have a significant impact on the clarity, growth in confidence, leadership and mission of women. See notice board for more details and booking form (can attend single sessions).

Hope for Justice

Hope for Justice is a UK charity set up in 2007 to rescue the victims of human trafficking, to see the criminals brought to justice and to see the restoration of lives of those who have been devastated.

Why? Around 88,000 women and children in Britain today involved in forced prostitution; 70% have been trafficked, the average age is 14. Children as young as 3 are being abused.
