10.30 am, 26 September 2010Back To Church Sunday this year is on 26 September. But please don't wait until then - we will be delighted to see you on any Sunday.
Back To Church Sunday is an opportunity to try church again. Maybe over the years you feel you've drifted away from God, maybe something pushed or pulled you away from church. Whatever the reason, we'd love to welcome you back.
Back to Church Sunday began in 2004 and has grown each year. Churches in all the main denominations are taking part. On 26 September thousands of people up and down the country will be venturing back to church. Maybe after just a short break, or perhaps for the first time in ages. Moved?Perhaps you've moved to Basingstoke, but haven't yet found a church. What with the disruption in moving, then sorting out your new home, decorating, unexpected DIY jobs, time seems to have flown past. Weeks have become months, and before you know it, it's been a couple of years or more. Besides, Basingstoke doesn't have a church or chapel on every street corner, or should that be roundabout? Thinking about it, where are all the churches? There's St Michael's next to the Town Centre and one opposite the Post Office, and... and - there must be some more somewhere? Back to Church Sunday is the perfect opportunity to find a church. If you want to give us a try, here's the link to directions to find where we hide.
