Welcome

  • New to Basingstoke?
  • Given up on church?
  • Remember, God hasn't given up on you!

Maybe over the years you feel you've drifted away from God, maybe something pushed or pulled you away from church. Whatever the reason, we'd love to welcome you back.

The Big Welcome (Back to Church Sunday) began in 2004 and has grown each year, with all the main denominations taking part. On 25 September thousands of people up and down the country will be venturing back to church. Maybe after just a short break, or perhaps for the first time in ages.

This year, it co-insides with our Harvest Thanksgiving service. While Harvest may seem remote to those of use living in towns, it is still an opportunity to give thanks to God for all that we have, and often take for granted. In the evening, we have our monthly Sunday Evening Worship, a more upbeat and lively service lead by a band.

Moved?

Perhaps you've moved to Basingstoke, but haven't yet found a spiritual home. What with the disruption in moving, then sorting out your new home, decorating, unexpected DIY jobs, time seems to have flown past. Weeks have become months, and before you know it, it's been a couple of years or more.

Besides, Basingstoke doesn't have a church or chapel on every street corner, or should that be roundabout? Thinking about it, where are they? There's St Michael's next to the Town Centre and one opposite the Post Office, and... and - there must be some more somewhere?

This is the perfect opportunity to find a church. If you want to give us a try, here's the link to directions to find where we hide. Just a minute's drive from Asda.
